Your Funded…Now What?

It’s been a few weeks since our Kickstarter funding goal for the Titans’ “preview” book was met, and many of you are probably asking yourself if not wondering; “well the project is funded…now what?” Well, that is a very good question to ask…so that question is going to be answered right her, right now.

Let me (Johnny Mack) take the time to thank all the people who have supported this project. It is only with the support and over all love this project has been shown that we were even able to reach our goal.

The intent was always from jump to produce a “preview” book for the comic to use as a calling-card if you will…to peak interest among comic readers and the like. Now with the funding we intend to make a 4-6 page preview book; containing character concept drawings and two pages from issue one of the comic “In the Beginning.” After funders from KS receive their copy, other copies will be available through different outlets and con shows to be announced.

Production of the preview has begun with pre-production for issue one well under way. We hope to have the preview ready for reader consumption by Mid- April and issue one by late Spring/ early Summer of this year.

LAUNCH OF PREVIEW BOOK & ISSUE # 1 OF “TITANS” BY UNDERGROUND COMIX
INDIANAPOLIS, IN, JANUARY 20, 2012

Underground Comix is proud to announce the impending launch of the comic book “TITANS” preview book and issue number one in Spring/Summer 2012. The preview book is in the process of being put together and will be made available in mid-April /early May 2012. The preview book will be sent out to those on the Underground Comix mailing list and will be given away at the Underground Comix presentations at both the Ash Comic Con & Kokomo Con in spring/summer of this year.

TITANS is an upcoming 2012 mythological/fantasy-action comic book written and created by new indie comic writer Johnny Mack. The project was previously named Battle for the Thrown before being officially named TITANS and is a re-imagining and “re-mixes” of stories from Greek, Norse and Egyptian mythology to tell the overall story of the impending retirement of God and the ensuing battle over who will become the next “Supreme” ruler.


PLOT SUMMARY

Years after the second Titanomachy, the heroes, demi-gods, gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon live in relative obscurity in a realm parallel to the modern world known as the “Gleaming”. Their powers already weakened from their lack of worshipers, Zeus and the other Olympian gods are all but forgotten.

However, God the Supreme ruler has decided that mankind has grown in leaps and bounds to be a kinder, fairer, gentler race, although still plagued with some issues; God has decided that he is ready to retire from his job as supreme ruler. With the position needing to be filled, God decides to open the position up to the other gods. Using, Hermes, Ceryx, Pygor and Idris as heralds to summon the Olympians to the Grand Hall, God explains that he is going into slumber and that his seat as supreme ruler is up for grabs, only thing is that the gods must battle for the thrown with the last one standing crowned as the new supreme ruler. As the battle begins, gods and heroes from other pantheons join in for the chance at the thrown.

Further information about the comic book will be announced as the date to completion of the preview book and the Ash/Kokomo Comic Cons approach.
